Railway station Near by Palamu district is Daltonganj (DTO) approximately 1KM apart from district headquarter. Daltonganj station is double broad-gauge railway lines. Multiples passenger and express trains runs daily. Daltonganj station is under the administration of Dhanbad Division of the East Central railway zone of Indian Railways. There is a direct train service daily from Daltonganj to New Delhi, Kolkata, Ranchi and Patna.
